HEROES ON HORSEBACK

Majestic Hills Ranch is proud to announce our new pilot program “Heroes on Horseback”.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to enrich and enhance the lives of Armed Forces Veterans and their families.

Our Philosophy

It is our sincere believe that Equine Assisted Therapy, as described by PATH, Int. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, Intl.) can and does contribute significantly to the lives of people with physical, emotional, and or/mental impairment.

Our Goal

Our goal is to engage Armed Forces Veterans and their families in a variety of recreational and therapeutic equestrian activities designed to achieve measurable behavioral, cognitive, physical, psychological and communication goals.

We Know That Horses Heal

Equine Therapy is fundamentally different from other forms of therapy because it utilizes the three-dimensional movement of the horse to mirror movement in the human body.  It is effective because it connects the physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual elements of healing.  The rhythmic and rocking gait of the horse transfers a gentle three-dimensional movement to the rider that relaxes muscles; improves muscle tone, flexibility, and balance; and enhances spatial awareness.

With the horse, rehabilitation becomes a joy rather than a chore.  The horse provides riders, who face challenges such as neuromuscular disorders, brain injuries, post traumatic stress disorder, cognitive limitations, and emotional difficulties, an overall improvement in their quality of life.
